Enough said...

Salam...hi all...

I penned this posting with full of sadness. I’m sad because of the current unsolved issues in Lahad Datu, Sabah. I’m sad because 8 of our police officers had died serving their country. I’m sad when I think of the children that they had left behind.

Earlier this morning at dawn, the Malaysian security force launched an all-out attack against the Sulu gunmen. May the Almighty be with them…In sya allah…

But I’m upset and I’m furious to read all the posting and the comments made by my Facebook friends.

Browsing through the Facebook the whole day yesterday was not a fun thing to do. Almost 50% of the posting or comments made by my Facebook friends are nothing but negative messages or comments. Yesterday was the day that I wish I do not own a Facebook account. I log-out after “Maghrib” prayers. I had enough!

It seems that there’s nothing good to be said about our police officers or the army. There’s also nothing good to be said about our government.

The police officers died to protect our country. To protect us! To protect the sovereignty of our country! Their families and friends are not celebrating the death of their loves ones. They are mourning. Their kids are crying! Their mothers, fathers, families and friends are crying!
And here we are, instead of giving them moral support or recites “Al-Fatihah” for the dead; we chose to bicker over the internet! We bicker over Facebook! We argued on who’s right; who’s wrong! We criticised the police procedures, their tactics and their strategies! We condemn the government delay tactics! The government diplomatic methods of solving the issues were criticised too!

We criticised as though we can do a better job! As though we can solve the problems in a blink of an eye!

Did we; for once stop and think all the reasons behind all these tactics/strategies/decisions?

Did we?!

Did we; for once evaluate all the news over the net before we decide to re-post on Facebook? Did we?!

To make matters worse; some ding bat politician made numerous attempts to spin all the stories trying to gain some political mileage. Unbelievable! You should be ashamed of yourself! Have you got no dignity at all?! Stooping that low to gain popularity! Of all the issues, this issue was used as political mileage?! Are you so heartless?!

For god sake; people died! People lost their love ones! This is no soap opera. This is no heavy drama. This is real! And that seems difficult for these “clowns” to chew.

And sadly, this is what the “enemies’ want to achieve. They want us to bicker. We point fingers. We can’t think rationally. We believe all rumours. We condemn our own security personals. We condemn our government.

They have “won”! They managed to break our unity.

My dear friends and fellow readers,

The country is under threat. The people of Lahad Datu are in fear. The police and the army are working day and night; lack of sleep and tired.

This is the time that all Malaysian should unite. Stay as one! One nation! One voice!

This is the time that we should put aside all our differences.

This is the time that we seek help from the Almighty…pray to your god…your beliefs…seek for help…

This is the time that we pray for the safety of our police officers, the army and the people of Lahad Datu in hope that the Almighty will always be with them.

This is the time to stop bickering!

This is the time that we show to the world; come rain or hell, we are UNITED!

Moral of the story: If you don’t know how to behave or act like a Statesman; the least you could do is shut up!

“Al-Fatihah” to all the Muslim officers whom had sacrificed their life for the country and to the non-Muslim officers; my heartiest condolence to the family…

You died as a warrior! You died “syahid’! And you’ll always be my heroes!
